Lights & Keys

Some days in ministry are exciting. They are the days when you can look into someones face and know that you have made a difference in their life. You can just know that all of the long hours, all of the personal pain and sacrifice are worth it. Other days are just full of mundane, those days that just get you from here to there. Today was one of those days for me. I actually got more done today in terms of tasks than I have any other day this week, but the tasks were rather dull. I spent almost all the day on a ladder hanging lights on a truss, so that one more project can be considered complete in Cornerstone Hall. Don’t get me wrong… the lights are important and a part of the whole plan, but the day to get them up and working is not always the greatest. The payoff is on Sunday when people come to Overdrive, they will never notice the lights, or the work it took to hang them, but they will leave feeling like Church is a place where they like to be, that it is fun to worship, and learn. That is when all the sweat and work will pay off. Since I always put a lot of links I thought I would just put them all here at the end today. Lights Dimmers Truss
Oh and the key part of the day… we have a locksmith rekeying the church building this week because someone stole the church keys right off a staff desk and so we have to rekey the place. Stuff has already gone missing. Bummer!
That’s all for today… Apprentice Finale tonight… go Tana!!

With regard to a previous post about Wendy’s - I’d like to submit a reminder that in order to drum up some business they are giving away complimentary junior size (finger free) frostys this weekend. So, you you might want to pick one up for your wife (and child)- what the heck get one for yourself too.
So, since we weren’t into the Apprentice this season, I am requesting an update? Did Tana become the next Apprentice?
BTW, we really got into the Amazing Race… have you seen that?
