Adventures

There are lots of milestones in life and when you reach them there should always be a moment of celebration. The celebration that accompanies the event is usually pretty set in stone. For a wedding you wear the dress and tux and everyone eats Jordan Almonds, and in the end you are married. For a graduation you wear the gown and the funny looking flat hat and when you are done you have a degree. Well this week my wife and I are going through another one of those milestone events, and this one involves hospital gowns and lots of nurses, and in the end we get to bring home a little baby. Christie and I are so excited about this coming day. We are ready to meet our little girl!

In anticipation of the big day Christie and I are trying to sneak in as many adventures as we can, while still accounting for the fact that Christie only needs 3 bites of anything before she is full and that she is overall just a little uncomfortable. Tonight the adventure was to Knowlwood in Anaheim Hills for a dinner of absolute gut busting food. Then we went driving around in Anaheim Hills and looked at houses and just talked. We even found one for sale that was pretty reasonable. Now we are home and are both allowing the food to go down and watching one of our favorite movies of all time… Keeping the Faith.

Over the past few days we had a few other adventures… we had a staff party at this "house" here in Huntington Beach. I say it in quotes, mostly because I would challenge you to find a lot of other houses in HB that have at least a 5000 sq. foot house with a yard large enough for a volleyball court, half basketball court, putting green, pool and cabana and of course a full rose garden. And did I mention that it also had a ginormous grill and outdoor kitchen area. Whilst there I was photographed in a tree.

On another adventure with my family we discovered a street in Huntington Harbor called Blair Lane. Now for many of you who have lots of things named after you this may be no big deal, but as the kid who could never get a keychain at Disneyland this was huge! The discovery took place after dinner with Christie, my mom and Kurt & Becky. We were at Harbor House and a fine time was had by all. Becky was in particularly good spirits. She is excited to be an aunt, and I am glad that I have been able to provide the experience for her.

Tomorrow is staff meeting and getting my desk cleaned off before Wednesday… Sally’s Birthday!!!
