Upgrade In Progress
I am working on the upgrade to version 3.2 of Movable Type. That is the software that runs this blog. In order to take full advantage of some of the new features of version 3.2 I need to upgrade my index.html and CSS stylesheet to the latest versions. In doing so I will need to set the whole “look and feel” up from scratch. In the meantime accept this more generic version of my blog with humblest apologies. And look forward to the all new version of BlairBlog coming soon to a web browser near you…

Quality Control
Someone should build a sign with spell check. I could understand if the common person would spell this word incorrectly, as it is one of those words in the english language that is sort of a challenge to spell, but I guess I have higher hopes for a floral shop. The other possibility is that they chose to provide the phonetic spelling to meet the needs of illiterate customers who are looking for a perty bokay fer the wife. Now I admit that my work has misspellings and grammatical errors from time to time, and that is understandable. What makes this even funnier to me is that it has been like this for several weeks, which means either no one else has noticed or nobody cares.
Long Time No Post
To say that life has been hectic the past few weeks would be like saying that water is kinda wet. Since my last post I have moved offices from one that was clean and dry to one that was a mess and in the middle of raining got flooded with water. I love the new digs now… so quiet and peaceful, but getting here was a bit of a challenge. Also since Christie has been back to work full time and I am teaching at Hope as well as having another full time job, my time to read and post to blogs has been curtailed drastically. I am hoping that now that I am moved I will feel more settled.
So here will be my funny story for the day… yesterday I was picking Sally up at school. She was having a little 5 p.m. snack when I arrived to get her. I looked at the board and realized that she had slept for a good portion of the day which is unlike her. I gathered her stuff while she finished her snack. When she was done I took her and thought I would burp her on the way to the car. Without noticing it she had spit up on me a bit… no big deal though. I loaded her in the car and off we went toward home. She was pretty quiet which is weird, but what can you do. I was talking to Christie when I pulled in the driveway at home and got her out and was managing to talk on my phone and carry her and get in the house. Well about 3 steps from the door she opened up her mouth and let most of the formula she had for the day come back out on me. I held her close and told Christie I would see her when she got home. I went in the house and thought it was over and time for the cleanup. I patted her back to reassure her and out came more. At this point I just put her over the sink and thought it was as good a place as any for the “refund” to go. Once she was done she got a big smile on her face and was fine! This apple has not fallen far from the tree… as that is exactly how I feel after a nice puke. This whole baby throwing up thing is another thing they don’t mention at the hospital when they hand her over to you. Actually I am glad though, since I am not sure I could have been mentally ready for it… but when it happens naturally you just roll with the punches.
