Beep Beep Beep and Blairbuster is online…

Fellow Mac guy Curtis called me the other day to let me know about a cool little app he found for the Mac. It is called Delicious Library. Here is what it can do… turn your iSight or other Firewire camera into a barcode scanner that will allow you to scan in the UPC from your movies, books, games & music to create a catalog of all your holdings. It also will allow you to create custom notes about each movie and to search those notes. For those of you who are involved in service planning this is a great way to keep track of movie clips you think would work with topics, so when the topic comes up you can search notes you may have already made. There is also another little app that you can download that allows you to export your library to HTML and put it on your web server. So with no further delay I direct your attention to the new Virtual Blairbuster. Feel free to request a rental if you find something you might like to see. And for the record… Billy & John are banned for their lack of vision!

Friggin’ sweet! That’s pretty awesome.
I did notice that it alphabetically sorts all the movies titles beginning with ‘a’ or ‘the’ together, which is not typically done. I’m not sure if you can change this small bug, but overall that’s pretty awesome.
