SCRUG

So today was the first ever meeting of the Southern California Regional Users Group for Fellowship One. We met at Mariners Church in Irvine. There was a lot of lively discussion about what we all love and have some struggles with where Fellowship One is concerned. For those of you who are not familiar, Fellowship One is a web based Church Management System. We spent about 20 minutes talking about the great parts about the software and then when it came time to discuss the difficult things I think we went about an hour and a half. The team from Fellowship did a great job representing the products and the development cycle that they are working under. There is some big, cool, new stuff in the pipeline!
At the end of the meeting we had to decide on a future direction on the group and how we would stay in touch. Nobody really stepped up to the plate to take on the role of leading the group, so Curtis Harris asked me if I would be willing to lead the group. I willingly agreed, so now I am in charge of making sure that this new groups stays connected. Hopefully it will be the start of some big new discussions and lead to some good solutions. So in the words of K. Templeton “SCRUG, we welcome you now”

Blair, thanks for stepping up and taking charge of this group. It was great meeting someone with such a passion for his Church. I look forward to the coming years.
Blair, I so appreciate your leadership in this area. When I send my thank you note to all the attendees, can I include the link to your blog? I believe having them, stay connected to you is important, especially since you are going to lead the charge for this group. Many blessings to you and thank you for coming out Tuesday!
Hey - is that me K. Templeton? Did I make your website? Thank you Blair. So yes, Scrugs…we welcome you now.
