Answer: When the baby can vault out of it!

Everything is on the Internet. So Curtis threw down a Captian EO reference this morning and Billy did not remember the film, so I googled it and found it on YouTube. Billy, when you have 18 minutes prepare to be thrilled. This movie is from a simpler time when Michael Jackson was not a creepy child molester, just creepy. You gotta love the dance moves though. So my personal connection to Captain EO is that it came out when I was in the 9th grade and they did a 60 Hour opening party at Disenyland. Thats right… Disneyland was open for 60 straight hours and I went and waited over 10 hours to see Captain EO… and the best part… because of my eyes I can’t even see 3-D! Well, enjoy this little slice of the 80’s on me.
The Christmas Spirit
I have been inspired by fellow bloggers Scott & Los to get into the Christmas spirit. I recorded a little video of myself… check it out here.
Drive-Thru Nativity
Our 38th Annual Drive Thru Nativity is in full swing this week. For the those who have never been let me describe the Nativity to you… 10 scenes from the story of Christmas presented to you as you drive past the scenes in your car. We begin with the proclamation from Isaiah, see the angel visit Mary & Joseph, Ceasar proclaims the census, Mary & Joseph travel to Bethlehem, the Angels visit the shepherds, the wisemen travel to see Jesus and finally there is the Nativity. All of this story is enjoyed from the comfort of your car! I am part of the team the provides music and narration from a booth. Basically a Christmas DJ… pretty fun! I will try and get some pictures of the scenes to post tomorrow night. If you live anywhere near FCC I encourage you to come on down and experience the story of Christmas.
A Ministry In Need
Many of the faithful readers of the BlairBlog will no doubt know that First Christian Church, where I am Director of Communications, has just finished a campaign called The Next Wave to raise the funds needed to renovate the campus at 1207 Main Street. We set a worthy goal and are on our way to meeting it. Over the next few years there will be a transformation to the campus to reach thousands of new people.
However, the need about which I am blogging today is far more serious and immediate! Friends, the Benny Hinn jet, Dove One needs to be paid for. In reading the flyer provided by the Benny Hinn Ministries, I learned that their old jet needed to be replaced and so he shopped around and bought a Gulfstream jet and has had it tricked out with the special logo shown at the top of this post. Now all he needs are 6,000 people to chip in $1000 and the jets down payment will be covered. I feel confident knowing that the need has been stated that many will come forward to help cover this cost. Honestly, I think that if was going to support the ministry with a $1000 I would at least ask for one ride in it!
You Thought Your Day Was Bad…
Many years ago I was introduced to a video of an actual event that happened in 1970 on the Oregon coastline. It is probably one of the coolest things I have ever seen… sort of like when the deer destroys the car in Tommy Boy and Tommy can say nothing but “I have seen a lot of cool stuff in my life, but that was awesome!” So today I was reading a friend’s blog and he showed a picture that was interesting and asked for a caption. My mind went to that video I had seen so many years ago and so I did a guick Google™ brand search for the video and found a much improved version of it. I present it to you now…
