Welcome to the year 2007. This is going to prove to be a momentous year for the Farley family, as this is now a year of transition. After many months of praying and seeking God’s will for my family, He has provided an open door to a new ministry opportunity. As of January 15th, I will be transitioning to my new role as Director of Communications for the Outreach Ministry at Mariners Church in Irvine, CA. WOOHOO!! Christie and I are very excited about this big change in our lives, and if Sally could talk I am sure she would tell you she is excited too! Mariners is a great church and they are doing some of the best Outreach work of any church in the nation. They have a very entrepreneurial approach to helping the poor and needy in Orange County and around the world. So pray for me as this new year begins.
One other thing… I want to thank some of you out there in blogland who encourage me every day to grow as a leader and to serve God better. Tony, Kem, Dawn, Mark, Scott & Los, you guys challenge me to think about things in new and different ways and have made me a better leader. Thanks for taking the time to share your wisdom with all of us out here in the blogosphere.
And one more thing… thank you to my most amazing and wonderful wife for having the patience to put up with me every day, the wisdom to help me see things in a new way, and the spirit to help me know that a little adventure is good for the soul… I love you!… Maybe next we could go snow shoeing!
